Plan A Visit
If you're new here, we're so excited that you're thinking of joining us! We know visiting a church for the first time can feel a little intimidating. What should I wear? Will I stand out? What happens if I don’t know anyone?
At Christ Church Sandton, our hope is that from the moment you arrive, you’ll feel at home.
You are Welcome Here
First things first, whether you’re exploring Christianity, returning to church after some time away, or looking for a church family, you are welcome here. You don’t need to have it all together—just come as you are.
Our goal is to make the Gospel as accessible as possible for all those who attend CCS, so we have included some FAQ's below that may be 'stumbling blocks' for those attending.
What to Expect
Our Sunday services are centered on Jesus and the Bible. Our prayer is that all those who attend are led in worship without distraction. All teaching is based only on scripture and the songs we sing are selected based on the message for that day. Included in our service is corporate prayer, the reading of Scripture and a strong sense of community.
What Should I Wear?
There’s no dress code. Some people come in jeans and sneakers, others in something a bit smarter. Wear whatever you’re comfortable in, as long as you are there with us, that's what's important to us!
What about my Children?
We're all about families. The discipling of the next generation (kids and teens) is very important to us. On arrival, your children will stay with you for the start of the service, as we value families worshipping together. During our service, the kids are sent out to our kid’s ministry, GAME (God And Me Eternally), where they are taught a lesson based on the bible.
Where Do I Go?
When you arrive, you will be welcomed by someone on our welcome team, or by someone in the church. If you arrive before our service, you can head straight to our tea and coffee station!
After the Service
Many people stick around after the service to chat over tea or coffee. There’s no pressure—but it’s a great chance to meet others and get connected to the church family. A big part of our DNA as a church is community, se we see fellowship after our service as the second part of our service.
New to CCS?
If it’s your first visit, we’d love to help you take your next step—whether that’s joining a small group, learning more about Jesus, or simply finding your place in the life of a local church, we want to do that with you. If you have any questions, please use the contact form below and one of the staff will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
